Fashion trends come and go. From overalls in someone’s everyday wardrobe to rocking Alexander McQueen sky-high high heels; Project Runway said it best that - “… one day you’re in, and the next you’re out”.
The same can be said for interior design/decor. Of course there are classics, like an Eames chair or a Chanel bag, which transform from trending to must have items after decades on the market. But for a lot of décor pieces, something that is “in” and modern today, can be tacky the next.
My first trending item for Color.me.quirky is one, which probably won’t stick around for long, and is most likely not supported by PEDA, but is still one of my favorites. Take the hunter-gatherer mentality and mix it with a modern twist and you have… Faux Taxidermy decor!
From taking the whole faux head of its nature animal counterpart, to taking tape and just outlining the creature figure, I love the way a natural aspect can be brought into the home with a fun twist.
As you can see by the images above, these fake animal figures can be done in many ways leaving your interior with a quirky modern trending item to liven up any space.
