fashion meets interiors // who what wear

November 21, 2014

Let's be serious, there are a countless number of lists on the internet right now. Whether it's the 14 filthiest, germiest things you touch all day, every day, 13 photos of Pets on Chic Furniture Just because, or even 17 Things You should Never do While Drunk, it seems like the web has gone list crazy.

To keep in trend- and because I, myself, love lists- I decided to steal this list from the fabulous people of Who What Wear, and turn it from 3 Easy Ways to Dress Up Any Fall Outfit to 3 Easy Ways to Dress Up Any Home. Enjoy!

"A studded jacket or a metallic blazer or biker jacket can dress up even jeans and a tee! A metal belt can add instant glamour to an all-black outfit, and you can’t go wrong with a sequin or glitter clutch."

The same thing can be said about your space. Adding that bit of sparkle is always key. Whether it's a festive twinkle light or a shiny mirror back splash, adding that extra touch of light will always dress up any space.

"Fringe can add a luxe element and elevate a look instantly, as can metallic embroidery, delicate lace, and rich leathers. Try a cream mohair cardigan for an especially high-end texture!"

Adding texture to any space is super easy and would also elevate the room instantly. Try incorporating a jute woven basket or even a gorgeous piece of wood furniture. This will turn any space from frigid and harsh, to warm and inviting.

"You basically can’t go wrong with an animal print in the cooler months. Try a leopard ankle bootie or a snakeskin handbag or pump."

Who doesn't love a good animal print? Whether it's a fun zebra striped pillow, or a lush faux fur throw, you really can't go wrong with adding a bit of ferocious decor.
